Health and safety management
LT Metal treats safety as the first priority in every part of its operations. Recognizing that the safety and health of our workers are fundamental to our operations, we operate an ESH (environment, safety and health) management system in which every employee takes part. Our health and safety policy is built on ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety management system) certification and guides our work to prevent serious accidents, maintain a comfortable working environment, and protect the life and health of every worker.
Health and safety management framework
LT Metal’s health and safety management framework is built around ISO 45001 certification, with two aims: embedding a prevention-led safety culture and systematizing safety management company-wide. Working from our health and safety management manual, we identify major hazards and carry out training, inspections, and improvement activities to prevent serious accidents. Every site sets health and safety targets, ESH performance is reviewed on a regular cycle, and emergency response for fire, hazardous chemicals, and similar events is reinforced so that incidents are prevented before they occur.
Health and safety organization
LT Metal operates an environment, safety and health management structure reporting directly to the CEO. The President & CEO is designated as the officer with overall responsibility for health and safety and approves and manages company-wide health and safety targets. Each site has assigned environment and safety officers and working-level managers, strengthening execution on the shop floor.
Health and safety activities
LT Metal places the life and safety of every employee first and operates a health and safety management system centered on accident prevention. Under our health and safety management policy, all sites remove hazards before they cause harm and, through regular assessment, inspection, and drills, have maintained zero serious accidents while extending a self-directed safety culture and joint prevention activities with contractors.
Emergency response process
LT Metal has established and operates emergency preparedness and response procedures for rapid reporting, response, and recovery in the event of an emergency.
