Human rights and labor policy

LT Metal is strengthening its human rights policies and systems so that every employee works in an environment of respect, and is working to prevent human rights violations and establish a fair organizational culture.

LT Metal respects the dignity and worth of every employee, in service of our management philosophy: pursuing the happiness of customers, employees, and society through people and technology. We comply with international standards including those of the UN and the ILO, with the labor laws of the countries and regions where we operate, and with Korean labor law. We prohibit discrimination on any ground, including gender, race, nationality, religion, and age, and we pursue continuous improvement to create a safe and healthy working environment.

  • Respect for human rights We respect every employee as a human being and work to ensure that no act constituting a human rights violation occurs.
  • Prohibition of forced labor We do not compel work against an employee’s free will through mental or physical restraint, including slavery and human trafficking, and we do not require the surrender of government-issued identification, passports, or work permits as a condition of employment.
  • Prohibition of child labor We do not employ children or young people under the age of 15.
  • Young workers Workers under the age of 18 are employed in accordance with labor law and are not assigned to hazardous or harmful work, including night work and overtime.
  • Working hours Regular and overtime working hours follow the standards set by the labor law of each country or region, and overtime is paid in accordance with the standards set by that law.
  • Wages Employee wages are set above the minimum level required by the labor law of each country or region.
  • Non-discrimination We do not discriminate in employment on any ground, including gender, nationality, belief, race, age, sexual orientation, political opinion, marital status, education, union activity, disability, pregnancy, or childbirth, and we do not discriminate on those same grounds in wages, promotion, or other working conditions.
  • Freedom of association Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are guaranteed under the labor law of each country or region, and no employee is treated unfavorably for joining, participating in, or forming a trade union.

LT Metal operates an always-on reporting and grievance system that gathers employee views quickly and transparently, including a Cyber Ombudsman on the website.
