LT Metal manages the environment as a core value of the business, under a structure reporting directly to the CEO. Every site operates to integrated procedures linked to headquarters, so environmental targets are set, implemented, and reviewed consistently. This raises the environmental capability of the organization as a whole and allows us to manage risks arising in operations before they materialize. Our dedicated environmental organization drives improvement around legal compliance and resource efficiency, and broadens employee participation through regular inspections and training. On this foundation, LT Metal continues to pursue sustainable growth and environmentally responsible operations.
Environmental organization
LT Metal sets company-wide environmental strategy through the Environmental Safety Team, which reports directly to the CEO, and assigns dedicated staff at each site to run site-level management. The team prevents key environmental risks through ISO 14001 (environmental management system) operation, hazardous chemicals and waste management, and compliance checks, while headquarters and the sites meet regularly to address environmental issues early. This operating structure is how LT Metal maintains its environmental management system and practices responsible, sustainable management.
Environmental management system
LT Metal has built a company-wide environmental management system on the basis of ISO 14001 (environmental management system) certification. We set environmental policy and targets, manage material environmental issues systematically, and review resource use, emissions, waste, and other environmental aspects regularly as a basis for improvement. We also keep applicable law and international standards under continuous review to prevent environmental risk, and maintain the suitability and effectiveness of the system through internal audits and management review. This supports environmentally sound production and responsible corporate management, with continual improvement driven by the ISO 14001 PDCA cycle.
